I absolutely loved my time at NCC! My guide, José, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff went out of their way to make sure the guest experience was flawless.... read more The food was superb and had a diverse array of international cuisine as well as local delicacies. The accommodations were wonderful and very luxurious. The activities were engaging and fun as well. The best part was being immersed the community. I ended up sending school supplies/toys to the kids later on, but you could bring gifts with you to give to the kids if you want too. Amazing experience!
NCC was a perfect choice for my first time in the Amazon Basin. Not as expensive as the so-called luxury camps, NCC was every bit as luxurious. My cabana had... read more a hammock in front, 2 BR (bunkbeds & beautiful king bed), and nice bathroom. I slept well every night. The main dining area/bar was comfortable. The food was delicious and varied. You will never go hungry. Sergio my guide took excellent care of me. Visiting the community was a plus. Hikes through the forest, climbing the canopy towers, going to the clay licks, and my favorite, canoeing the black river was everything I hoped for. Every member of the staff was amazing. They provide anything you need. The best touch by far?? Ice cold wet wash rags handed to you after a morning or afternoon excursion. They fly you into Coca then by boat to the NCC down the Napo River. I saw macaws, toucans, every kind of monkey, caiman, giant river otters and more birds than I know. Just after I left a sloth and jaguar were spotted! Stay the max days!! Even more if you can. You definitely won't regret coming to the Napo Cultural Center.
