Wonderful cultural experience, fascinating wildlife and flora. Excellent guides and hotel staff made you feel like family! Jairo was our guide and Fidel was our representative from their tribe. They both... read more went over and above with their knowledge of the animals, the plants, the whole area and the people. The hotel was very clean and we felt safe and all times. The meals were prepared with such care and we had an amazing bartender Lenin, he makes an amazing Pisco sour! The jungle offered us so many views of the animals and plants. We were able to see 5 kinds of monkeys, agouti, sloths, ants, lizards, parrots, macaws, parakeets, stinky turkey called Watson, black pigeon, oriels, tanagers vultures, snake bird, toucan, kingfisher, yellow and red macaws, giant otters, sloths, snakes, many humming birds and butterflies! On top of all that we learned about the forest from Fidel and how his family uses it for his medicine and local grocery and hardware store. I also loved the local women and how they run the cultural center. We were welcomed with food, drinks and dances and saw how they live. We were also able to buy some of the amazing jewelry and crafts made by the men and women. Four days was not long enough, I could have stayed longer. The Kichwa community was inviting and kind and we will be back!
Excellent Lodging, Food, Staff, Guides Combine for Unforgettable Experience - NCC was arguably the best place my wife and I ever stayed at and offered the most amazing adventure we've been on. We were surprised by the warm welcome with... read more beverages and rejuvenating cold towels. The room and food were not only great, but demonstrated care. One can see that the wonderful staff took pride in the service and presentation. We got to be in the middle of the rainforest and gorgeous flowers, but also access wifi that's faster than city wifi. The once-in-a-lifetime hikes and canoe trips were made even better by patient, friendly, and knowledgeable guides. Our guide Andres was arguably the best guide we've ever encountered. We're very grateful to Andres, NCC, and the entire Anangu community for taking care of us and leading us on an unforgettable adventure.
